La Paloma

Ingredients

  • 2 shots of Tequila
  • Juice of half a lime
  • Jarritos Toronja (Grapefruit)
  • Salt

 

Method

Combine Tequila and lime juice in a highball or Collins glass, rimmed with salt. Add ice and top with Jarritos Toronja (grapefruit). The tradition is to serve the cocktail with a full bottle of Jarritos Toronja – and top up the tequila glass to your own taste preference. Tequilindo

Ingredients

  • 2 shots Tequila
  • Jarritos Tamarindo (Tamarind)
  • Lime slices
  • Ice
  • Salt

 

Method

In a Chilli Piquin rimmed glass add ice, dash of salt, tequila and top off with Jarritos Tamarindo (Tamarind) and a slice of lime.

Bandido Jarritos Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 45 mls Tequila
  • Jarritos Mandarina (Mandarin)
  • Angostura Bitters 1 dash
  • Mandarin for garnish
  • Ice

 

Method

In a short spirit glass mix Tequila, Jarritos Mandarina (Mandarin) with ice and add a dash of Angostura bitter, garnish with mandarin.

La Batanga

Ingredients

  • 60ml Blanco Tequila
  • Half a lime
  • Jarritos Mexican Cola to top
  • Flaky sea salt for rimming
  • Ice

 

Method

Rim a large highball with salt. Using a Mexican elbow; squeeze in the juice of half a lime. Add your Tequila, fill with ice, top with cola and stir with a large knife.

Paloma (100% traditional in Mexico) Grandma recipe

Ingredients

  • Ice – enough to fill 3/4 High Ball Glass
  • 45ml White or Silver Tequila
  • 10ml Lime juice
  • Salt to rim glass
  • Jarritos Toronja (Grapefruit)

 

Method

Salt and lime the rim of a high ball glass, fill with ice, pour over Tequila and top up with Jarritos Toronja. A Jarritos cocktail loved by everyone who tries it!

Charro Negro

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Tequila Reposado
  • ice – enough to fill 3/4 of the glass
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Pinch of salt
  • Jarritos Mexican Cola

 

Method

Build a high ball glass with 3/4 of ice, add Tequila and place a cinnamon stick in glass, add a pinch of salt then top up with Jarritos Mexican Cola.

Viejo Amigo ( old fashioned )

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Tequila Reposado
  • Glass full of ice Jarritos
  • 2 dashes of Orange bitters
  • Orange twisted
  • 5 mls agave syrup
  • Jarritos Mandarina (Mandarin)

 

Method

Fill a double rock or spirit short glass with ice, pour over Tequila and 2 dashes of Orange Bitters along with Agave Syrup. Top with Jarritos Mandarina and add a twist of orange for a refreshing Jarritos cocktail.

MarJarritas

Ingredients

  • 45ml white or silver tequila
  • 15 ml Cointreau
  • salt for rimming glass
  • 60 ml Jarritos Mango or Pina (Pineapple)

 

Method

In a shaker add Tequila, Cointreau and Jarritos Mango or Pina, shake then strain into a salt rimmed margarita glass.

Gin Mexi-cOZ Martini

Ingredients

  • 45ml dry Gin
  • 90ml Jarritos Limon (Lime) or Mango
  • Ice in Boston glass
  • Lemon grass muddled
  • Ginger (small sliced) muddled

 

Method

In a shaker add Gin, Jarritos Limon or Mango, ice, lemon grass & ginger. Shake well then strain into a Martini glass.

Vodka Jarrito

Ingredients

  • 45 ml vodka
  • Ice to the top
  • Lots of mint
  • Half a tea spoon caster sugar
  • Jarritos Limon(Lime), Mango or Guayaba (Guava)

 

Method

Fill a spirit short glass to the top with ice, then add Vodka, mint and caster sugar, top up with Jarritos Limon (Lime), Mango or Guayaba (Guava). Garnish with a sprig of mint.

El Capitano

Ingredients

  • Ice – enough to fill 3/4 glass
  • 60 ml Spiced Rum
  • 15ml lime juice
  • 6 mint leaves crushed
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Pinch of salt
  • Jarritos Tamarindo (Tamarind)

 

Method

Fill high ball glass with 3/4 ice, add Rum, lime juice, crushed mint, and salt then top up with Jarritos Tamarindo (Tamarind). A spicy Jarritos cocktail!

Cuba Libre

Ingredients

  • 60ml White Rum
  • 3/4 of ice in the glass
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Salt on the rim
  • Jarritos Mexican Cola

 

Method

Salt rim a high ball glass then fill with 3/4 ice, adding Rum, lime juice and pinch of salt, then top up with Jarritos Mexican Cola.

Limon Mocktail/Smoothie

Ingredients

  • Ice – enough to fill a glass
  • Mint
  • Chunks of lime (skin removed)
  • Jarritos Limon (Lime)
  • Slice of Lime or spring of mint for garnish

 

Method

In a blender mix all ingredients, pour into glass and garnish with mint or lime wheel.

Jarritos Mango with chunks of mango – blend for only a very short time
Jarritos Pina (Pineapple) with chunks of pineapple
Jarritos Mandarina (Mandarin) with chunks of mandarin or orange

Mexican Flotantes (Spiders)

Ingredients

  • Vanilla Ice Cream – 2 scoops
  • Jarritos Mexican Cola

 

Method

Quick and easy Jarritos cocktail – pour Mexican Cola into tall glass and add 2 scoops of ice cream then add a long handled teaspoon and straw. Hint: best ice-cream to use is one that is more water based than cream based.

Jarritos Limon (Lime)
Jarritos Guayaba (Guava) using Strawberry ice cream or sorbet instead of vanilla
Jarritos Mango – blend mint, sorbet and lychees then top with Jarritos Mango
