This heavy duty Mexican cast iron tortilla press is extremely durable and easy to use, and will last for year. To use simply place a ball of corn dough between a thin piece of plastic or waxed parchment paper on the centre of the tortilla press. Then close the press, and gently push down on the handle. The more pressure you add to the handle the thinner your tortilla will be. Finally, remove the flattened tortilla from the press and gently peel away from the plastic or waxed paper. Place tortilla on a hot comal (skillet ) to cook on both sides.
To make your own fresh tortillas at home all you you need is a tortilla press, corn flour. Watch this easy to follow video to see how simple it is to make your own corn tortillas.
